Box Score A first half that resulted in a 24.2 field goal percentage by NGU and a 45.2 field goal percentage by Lander proved to be the difference in a 92-62 loss in Greenwood, SC. Noticeably absent from the game was Karen Donahew, who was inactive due to an injury. Journey Muhammed was the only Crusader to hit double digits in the points column with eleven.
1st Quarter
Nearly two minutes passed without a score, but Lander would end up scoring the first eight points of the game. North Greenville would finally get on the board with a three-pointer by Bree Stoddard. Leading 12-8, the Bobcats would end the quarter on a 13-2 run to lead 25-10 as the clock expired in the quarter.
2nd Quarter
LU once again got off to a strong start in the quarter, scoring the first seven points. The Crusaders were able to piece together points halfway through the quarter, but Lander closed out the quarter yet again with a 13-2 run to take a 58-25 lead at the half. NGU shot just 24.2% for the half. Tyana Saunders led NGU with seven points.
3rd Quarter
North Greenville was finally able to get a good start in the quarter with six of the first eight points. Layups were not a rarity as the two teams would record six total. NGU ended the quarter on a good note with five of the final six points. The Crusaders outscored Lander 16-14 in the quarter.
4th Quarter
The final quarter was an even one as both teams would trade points throughout. Both teams clicked well halfway through as five straight possessions resulted in made field goals. Although the game was no longer in doubt, NGU did end the game with a 9-5 run. North Greenville improved in the second half with a 38.2 field goal percentage. Journey Muhammed led with ten points.
Individual
Journey Muhammed reached double digits with 11 points. She also led NGU in steals with 3.
Tyanna Saunders scored 9 points and posted 8 rebounds.
Haylee Luttrell and Ayano Shelton both put up 8 points.
