Crusaders downed by Limestone in league play

Tigerville, S.C. – North Greenville Women’s Soccer fell to 0-4 in Conference Carolinas play following a 4-0 loss to Limestone College on Saturday evening at Pepsi Stadium.

North Greenville had momentum from the beginning with a corner in the second minute of the match with a  great opportunity provided by captain, Megan Robertson.

Limestone would go on to score two goals to close out the first half. The first goal by Megan O'Connor (28:26) late into the half. Then Naiara Kapstein was able to slip one past Junior Goalkeeper Madelyn Schober off of a Limestone corner (33:41).

After a solid effort by the North Greenville defense led by captains Karis Hoover and Megan Robertson, as well as Asheton Robinson, Michaela Gleed, and Grayce Britt, Limestone's O'Connor was able to put away her second goal late into the second half in the 76th minute of the match. 

Limestone was able to get away with a fourth and final goal of the match scored by Limestone's #7 Holly Rawcliffe (89:20).

After hanging with the team leading the Conference Carolinas, the Crusaders are ready to travel to Brevard, NC to face Brevard College on Tuesday September 27, 2016.
