In a game where the NGU faithful were probably wincing through, Lander University bopped the Crusader women 103-65 in Greenwood Tuesday night.
Coach Jayne Arledge said the Crusaders (3-2) had “one of those nights” where the shots wouldn’t fall and the Bearkats (3-1) hit everything they put up. Lander shot 49% in the game to only 38% for NGU. Freshman Karly Stache led the Crusaders with 16 points while Jacquetta Golden added 14 points. Amanda Milner added eight points and had a team-high five rebounds.
Jasmine Judge of Lander led seven Bearkats in double-figure scorers with 22 points. She did most of her damage from 3-point range, making 6-of-10 from behind the arc including 5-of-7 in the first half.
The women are at Mars Hill for their next game on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. Their next home game is Thursday, Dec. 4 against Tusculum at 5:30 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
