Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville Volleyball team returned to its winning ways Wednesday night after defeating Morris College 3-0 a night after dropping a match to Milligan College.

The Lady Crusaders won the first set of the night convincingly with a 25-12 decision over the Lady Hornets.

“It was a business like performance from our team and we played better than we did last night,” remarked head coach Greg Mosely.

The Lady Crusaders fell behind in the second set 11-5 before storming back to win 25-20. NGU ended the night with another 25-12 walloping of the Lady Hornets. The Lady Crusaders used a balanced offensive attack on Wednesday led by Kaitlyn Pierce who had 11 kills. Rebekah Mayes was one short of Pierce with 10 kills. Madison Allen led the team with four serving aces while the team combined for 11.

Mayes led the Lady Crusaders with nine digs while Abigail Frame led the team with 29 assists.

“I’m pleased with the effort of the girls tonight and we have something to build on as we move to our next match. We are building on a record setting season (Wins in the NCAA Record)," said Mosely. "I was pleased with our passing and our back row people played well. It is nice to the see maturity Jenna McKinley and I’m pleased with Melissa Ragsdale's leadership and intensity. “

The Lady Crusaders will serve it up again on Friday night in Hayes Gymnasium against Livingstone College at 6 p.m.
