Charlotte, N.C.—The North Greenville Volleyball team traveled to Charlotte Thursday evening searching for it’s second win in a row. The Lady Crusaders would get just that as they defeated Johnson and Whales 3-0 in straight sets.

The Lady Crusaders looked to make a statement in the first set of the night. After a back and forth opening that saw three lead changes before either team scored 10, North Greenville settled in as the Crusaders outscored the Wildcats 18-3 to take the first set win 25-11.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second match before going on to take the set 25-19. North Greenville would go on to win the third set of the day convincingly with a 25-8 drudging.

Despite the convincing win, head coach Greg Mosely felt his team was a little flat.

“We did what we needed to do to win,” remarked Mosely, “we were a little flat after the long bus ride and I feel like we played average. We got the win which is positive. Hopefully we will play better tomorrow and this weekend.”

The Crusaders will continue a four game road trip tomorrow against Shaw University before wrapping up the weekend with a tri-match Saturday at Chowan.
