Former graduate assistant Joshua Heafield has been promoted to the assistant coach position under head coach Andy Robinson.

Heafield came to North Greenville as a graduate assistant after playing for three seasons and graduating from Erskine College. Joshua was a defender for the Flying Fleet during his time as a student-athlete from 2014-2016 and unfortunately recorded a 3-0 record against NGU. After his playing career, Joshua began his coaching career as a student assistant while playing for the Myrtle Beach Mutiny of the Premier Development League. He also put in time with the GK Icon Goalkeeper Franchise, specializing in goalkeeper training. He also held a similar position with Coerver Coaching.

Prior to his collegiate career, Heafield played for the Plymouth Argyle Football Club's professional youth team in Plymouth, Devon, England.

"It is both an honor and privilege to be a part of this team. I can't wait for the opportunity to impact these incredible girls both on and off the field so they can use their God given talents to help and improve others. Iron sharpens iron. Live in the moment and give it all you got."
