North Greenville suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in overtime to the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina. Although the Crusaders fell short, they remain second in the Conference Carolinas standings with a 6-2 conference record. Megan Biehl had a productive day, getting off 14 shots with 3 on goal.
NGU began the match with the offense, posting the only two shots in the first ten minutes. Mount Olive would get its offense going soon after, putting up four consecutive shots. NGU responded with five consecutive shots, but only one was on goal. From there, both teams would record three shots each throughout the remainder of the half, but the two teams would go into halftime scoreless.
The second half continued to productive offensively as both teams would get off their share of shots throughout. North Greenville would eventually separate themselves, posting a total of fourteen shots compared to Mount Olive's seven. However, the two teams could not connect for a goal in regulation.
Overtime began with an early shot by UMO that was saved. NGU would put up a total of two shots in overtime, but with a minute remaining in the first overtime period the Trojans would finally end the match with a goal by Sara Berglund.
