Lizzy Luzzi

Lizzy Luzzi, who played high school soccer in King, North Carolina for the West Stokes Wildcats, joined the North Greenville University Women’s Soccer program in the fall of 2019.

A standout goalkeeper at North Greenville, Luzzi appeared in more than 45 career matches and established herself as one of the top keepers in Conference Carolinas. She recorded a career-high 88 saves in a single season, along with eight shutouts, and posted a personal-best 14 saves in a match. As a freshman, she ranked top two in the conference in both goals-against average (0.79) and save percentage, and as a junior, she was among the top five in NCAA Division II in minutes played. Luzzi played a key role in helping NGU secure its first-ever Conference Carolinas Regular Season Championship and delivered in clutch moments, including a decisive penalty kick save in the conference tournament quarterfinals. She was also named MVP of the Conference Carolinas Developmental Championship.

Prior to her collegiate career, Luzzi excelled at West Stokes High School, where she recorded 34 career shutouts and led her team to a North Carolina State Championship appearance. A four-time All-Conference selection, three-time All-Region honoree, and two-time All-State performer, she was also named Conference Player of the Year and served as team captain.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2023 and completing her MBA in 2025 at North Greenville, Luzzi transitioned into coaching following her role as a graduate assistant with the program. She is currently pursuing her USSF “C” Coaching License as well as a Goalkeeper Coaching License.

A native of King, North Carolina, Luzzi enjoys weightlifting, hiking, kayaking, and competitive golf. She is also passionate about leadership development and empowering young women through sport.
