Lizzy Luzzi

Lizzy Luzzi, who played high school soccer in King, North Carolina for the West Stokes Wildcats, joined the North Greenville University Women’s Soccer program in the fall of 2019. During her time for West Stokes, she helped lead the Wildcats to their second State Championship game in four years since starting in goal as a sophomore, recording 41 wins and 34 shutouts since. As well as being a three- time Western Athletic Piedmont All- Conference performer, All- Region and All- County.

As a Crusader during her freshman season (2019) she played in a total of 7 matches. But faced multiple injuries before seeing the field again in her junior season, proving to be instrumental in the Crusaders season success. A total of 20 matches played. She was 2nd in Conference Carolinas for a season of 88 saves and 8 shutouts. With a career high of 14 saves in a single match against UNC Pembroke on November 12, 2021. While helping the Crusaders advance to the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas playoffs by making the game winning penalty kick save against the Barton Bulldogs. Finishing the season for Division II women’s soccer top five most minutes played for regular season as a goalkeeper. Luzzi’s senior year she helped her team for the first time in program history clench the regular season champion’s title once more beating the Barton Bulldogs.

As a player Luzzi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and minored in Business. With a playing career of 12 years for all levels of competition, she graduated in the spring of 2023, Luzzi began her Master’s in Business Administration through North Greenville University while joining the staff as a volunteer coach. She helped coach the Crusaders to accomplish an overall season record of 11-5-2 and a conference record of 9-1-2. She also assisted in coaching and facilitating the North Greenville University Nike Camp that received the accolade of Top 10 Nike Soccer Camps in the country for the year of 2023. As she starts her first season in the spring of 2024 as the official graduate assistant, she continues to complete her MBA and is working diligently to completing her USSF C Coaching License as well as her USSF Goalkeeper Coaching License.
