HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University's Hannah Riddle was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while North Greenville University's Amanda Coffrin was named Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Apr. 10-16, the Conference announced today.
A junior from Mauldin, S.C., Coffrin posted a win over No.2 Pfeiffer in dominant fashion by throwing a two-hit complete game shutout. In the 7-0 win, Coffrin punched out five batters while allowing three walks. On the week, she threw 10 innings of work with six strikeouts, while surrendering four hits, four walks and two earned runs.
Riddle, a junior from Greenville, Tenn., led the Tornado to a 4-0 record, including a sweep of the No. 18 Limestone. She batted .667 with two doubles, a homer and four RBI. Riddle's week was highlighted by going 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI in the game one win over Limestone.
