The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to Belmont Abbey in straight sets with scores of 30-28, 25-18, and 25-13 this afternoon at the Wheeler Center to end their 2026 season in the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
North Greenville battled hard in a tightly contested opening set that featured 17 tie scores and multiple lead changes. The Trailblazers held set point late, but Belmont Abbey rallied to take the set 30-28 and gain early momentum. The Crusaders carried that momentum into the second set, pulling away late for a 25-18 win before closing out the match in the third with a 25-13 victory.
For the match, North Greenville recorded 30 kills with a .160 hitting percentage while totaling 29 assists and 24 digs. The Crusaders hit .435 for the match.
Yoriano Velez Vega led the Trailblazers with 13 kills and added 2 block assists, while Logan Keothavy contributed 6 kills and 6 digs. Andrew Copp directed the offense with 26 assists and added 3 kills. Jacob Koch was efficient at the net with 3 kills on 3 attempts and 3 total blocks.
The Trailblazers wrapped up their 2026 season with a 14-12 overall record with a 7-6 record in conference play.
