Spartanburg, S.C. – North Greenville finished first at the Conference University Kickoff on Friday night to kickoff the 2025 cross country season for the defending Conference Carolinas champions. 

North Greenville finished with an average time of 19:48 boasting three top – 10 finishes. Freshman Mandi Pollard earned her first collegiate win in her first collegiate race North Greenville. The true freshman finished the race in 18:50, 21 – seconds ahead of the races second place finisher who crossed in 19:11. 

Riley Shope and Ellie Timmons also posted top – 10 finishes in their first race of the season. Shope finished 7^th with a time of 19:35 while Timmons finished a second later with a time of 19:36 to finish 8^th.  

Addison Martin finished 15^th for the Trailblazers with a time of 20:24 followed by Riley Nicholson who finished 19^th. Nicholson crossed with a time of 20:37. In 25^th was Paris Alsup who finished the race in 20:58. Michaela Lanier finished 29^th with a time of 21:16. Other times for NGU included a 22:18 for Lydia Gray, 22:50 for Zoie Justice, and 22:57 for Lily Bjerkness. 

NGU's next race will be on September 19^th at the Brevard Cross Country Challenge.
