Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a successful senior day by defeating the Bulldogs of Barton College with a final score of 15-12 at Pepsi Stadium. After holding a narrow 4-3 lead in the 1st quarter, NGU dominated the 2nd quarter by outscoring Barton 6-2 to take a 10-5 lead into halftime. The Trailblazers continued to outscore the Bulldogs in the 3rd quarter by one to lead 13-7 heading into the 4th quarter. BC would put up a fight in the 4th quarter, scoring five goals including four consecutive. However, the Trailblazers would take the momentum back by closing things out with two of the final three goals to hang on for the conference win. With the win, North Greenville improves to 6-7 overall with a 4-1 record in conference play.
Lauren Crane put together an impressive performance, finishing with three goals, two assists, and eight draw controls.
Aubree Mayse posted three goalsm five draw controls, and two ground balls.
Kylie Keen recorded three goals and an assist as well as a ground ball, a caused turnover, and a draw control.
NGU will face the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday, April 8th in Central, South Carolina.
