The North Greenville Trailblazers are one win away from a Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship after defeating the Lions of Emmanuel University with a final score of 2-1 in Duncan, South Carolina. After two scoreless innings, the Trailblazers fell behind by a run when the Lions got on the board in the top of the 3rd. However,
Virginia Bishop would even things up with a solo home run in the bottom of the inning. Then in the 4th,
Ari Day would hit an RBI single up the middle to claim the lead for the first time. That lead would ultimately hold up as
Sydney Clark and
Karley Green pitched a total of 3.2 scoreless innings to close things out.
Sydney Clark was the winning pitcher while
Karley Green earned a save. With the win, NGU has advanced to the Tournament championship, where they only need to win one game while their opponent will have to beat the Trailblazers twice.
