TIGERVILLE, S.C. – North Greenville women's tennis turned in a strong effort on Monday afternoon, taking several matches down to the wire in a competitive contest against Newberry College. The Trailblazers collected three singles victories and one doubles win to wrap up the fall schedule.

Abigail Watson led the charge for NGU, earning a straight-sets win over Newberry's Margarita Roshka, 7–6, 7–5. Julia Machado followed with a thrilling 7–6, 0–6, 11–9 win against Yui Suzuki, grinding out a third-set tiebreak to secure the victory. Adriana Flores added another win for the Trailblazers, outlasting Hazel Vernon 6–3, 2–6, 6–4.

Lina Sarhan of Newberry rallied past Andjela Mrvaljelic 4–6, 6–0, 6–3, while Renee Dorval defeated Mikayla McKenzie 6–2, 6–2, and Aina Miralles topped Juliana Figueroa 6–0, 6–1.

In doubles play, NGU picked up one win as Watson and Figueroa rolled to a 6–0 victory. Suzuki and Dorval claimed a 6–2 win over McKenzie and Mrvaljelic, while Vernon and Sarhan also won 6–2 against Machado and Flores.
