The North Greenville Crusaders put together an 11-2 victory over the Wolves of Newberry College this evening in Newberry, South Carolina. NGU was able to consistently pull away throughout the game, starting with a run in the 1st by way of an error followed by two runs in the top of the 2nd with a two-RBI double by
Pat Monteith. Newberry was able to get on the board in the 3rd, but the Crusaders eventually responded in the 5th with two runs as well as three runs in the 6th including a two-RBI double by
Kaleb Hall. After the Wolves scored their second run in the 7th, North Greenville once again responded with three runs in the 9th including an RBI double by
Jake Sears.
Nate Roof ended things with a perfect 9th inning.
Caleb Cox, who pitched the 5th inning took the win.
Kaleb Hall continues to hit well at the plate, posting 2 hits including a double, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
Landon Shaw posted 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and a run scored.
Pat Monteith finished his day with 2 hits including a double as well as 2 RBIs and a run scored.
North Greenville will return to action on Friday, April 5th against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders at Ray & Bea Dillard Field.
