Tigerville, SC - A pitching showcase ended up as a North Greenville win as the Crusaders put together a come from behind victory with a final score of 3-2 against the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University. Seven pitchers for NGU took the mound, with only starter Matthew Murphy and relief pitcher Nate Roof pitching 2.0 innings. The Crusaders took an early lead in the 4th by way of an RBI fielder's choice. LMU claimed the lead when a fielding error resulted in two runs scoring in the top of the 6th. However, the Crusaders would quickly reclaim the lead when Pat Monteith hit a two-run home run down the left field line. Nate Roof and Dawson Taylor took care of the business in the final three innings to secure the win for NGU. Matthew Taubensee was the winning pitcher.

Pat Monteith recorded both of North Greenville's two hits including a home run. He also posted 2 RBIs, a run scored, and a walk while collecting 3 strikeouts. Matthew Murphy pitched 2.0 shutout innings, allowing only a hit by pitch. Nate Roof also pitched 2.0 shutout innings and only allowed a walk while striking out 3.

NGU will take on the Braves of UNC Pembroke on Friday, March 15th in Pembroke, North Carolina.
