North Greenville Splits Doubleheader with Southern Wesleyan

North Greenville split the day with the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University this afternoon in Central, South Carolina. With the split, NGU maintains a .500 overall record of 21-21 as well as a .500 record of 9-9. The Crusaders took an early lead in the top of the first, but SWU would respond with three runs in the bottom. The Warriors would continue to pull away, posting a total of thirteen hits and also getting help from North Greenville's four errors throughout the game. NGU did score a run in the fifth and two in the sixth, but it would not be enough as starter Karley Green would ultimately be charged with the loss. Game two proved to be much more successful for NGU as they would score the first seven runs of the game including a home run by Brianna McRae. SWU would end the game on a positive note with two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but the Crusaders would hang on for the win. For the day, North Greenville finished with a total of 25 hits.
