The North Greenville Crusaders split a doubleheader with the Panthers of Claflin University this afternoon in Orangeburg, South Carolina. NGU took the opening game in dominating fashion, run ruling the Panthers with a final score of 9-0 while starter
Karley Green pitched a gem and allowed no runs and just one hit. Game two began with a scoreless first inning, but the Panthers would take an early lead with three runs in the second, and after NGU responded with a run in the third, the Panthers would add to their lead with two more runs in the bottom of the inning. North Greenville would go on to score two in the fifth and an additional run in the seventh, but Claflin would hang on to take game two and splitting the series.
