Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders are still undefeated after defeating the 25th ranked Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a final score of 5-1 this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU was able to get on the board with two runs in the bottom of the second, partly due to a throwing error. After scoreless third and fourth innings, the Bears got on the board in the top of the 5th with a solo home run to left field. Another scoreless innings later, NGU would put three insurance runs on the board including a two run home run by
Cory Bivins.
Nate Roof pitched the final 1.2 innings without allowing a baserunner and earning the save. Starter
Caleb Freeman was the winning pitcher.
