The North Greenville Crusaders split a doubleheader with the Erskine Flying Fleet today in Due West, South Carolina, clinching the series by taking two of three games. Game one of the doubleheader began on a rough note for the Crusaders as Erskine would put up five runs int he bottom of the 1st. Although North Greenville responded with two in the 2nd and a run in the 3rd, the Flying Fleet would extend the lead with two runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Pitching would take over as the final four innings went scoreless, giving Erskine the game 7-4 to tie the series. Game two saw the Crusaders score two runs in the 1st and four runs in the 3rd to lead 6-0. After the Fleet fought back with a run in the 3rd and another run in the 4th, NGU put the game away with four runs in the 5th including a grand slam by
Ethan Stringer and four more runs in the 6th. Erskine would score the final five runs of the game, but the Crusaders would still win the game comfortably with a final score of 14-7 to win the series.
