Recap (Game One)
  • Claire Gilmore put North Greenville on the board in the first inning with a solo home run. The Crusaders got another long ball in the third inning when Breanna McCrae placed one over the right center fence to extend the lead to 3-0.
  • Barton pitching buckled down on NGU hitters after that, allowing just three hits I the final four innings of play. The Bulldogs answered later in the game, scoring a pair of runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to take a two-run lead. Only two of Barton's runs were earned, taking advantage of defensive miscues by North Greenville.
  • The Crusaders answered with a single run in the fifth inning but were retired in order in the sixth and seventh innings. The Crusaders stranded three runners in the game one loss while the Bulldogs stranded four.
Individual  Recap (Game Two)
  • A five run first inning put North Greenville in the early driver's seat. McRae's second homer of the day brought around Josie Reed and Claire Gilmore to make it 3-0 while a throwing error by the Bulldogs would bring across Taylor Koon and Aschlyn Hutto to extend the lead to five.
  • The Bulldogs scratched their only run of the game in the fourth inning, but North Greenville wasted little time responding. The Crusaders posted a three-spot in the fourth frame on the power of four hits. The big blow came from the bat of Hutto who placed a bases loaded triple in the right field corner to bring around McRae, Reed, and Gilmore.
  • North Greenville starter Callie Richards preserved the seven run lead and the win for NGU, holding the Bulldogs hitless in the final three frames.
Individual
  • Josie Reed was perfect at the plate in game two, going 3-3 with two runs scored. Brooklyn Stone was 2-3 with a walk.
  • Brianna McRae was 2-4 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored while Hutto was 1-3 with three RBI.
  • Madison Pride had a hit and Taylor Koon was 1-3 with a run.
  • Richards earned the win in the circle, throwing seven innings, allowing one run while striking out six.
