North Greenville could not overcome a tough first half, falling to the Barton Bulldogs with a final score of 5-3. Gareth Greene had a career day with 2 goals and 5 shots. With the loss, the Crusaders now hold a 1-1-1 record in conference play.
Barton was first on the board with a goal by Ludovic Rocha in the 10th minute. Just over three minutes later, the Bulldogs would strike again with a goal by Ruben Mancio. A third goal would be scored by Pol Monells to put BC up 3-0. Cameron Ward recorded NGU's first shot in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute, Tolly Beatson added to Barton's lead with a goal of his own. North Greenville would finally get on the board in the 37th minute when Gareth Greene scored off of a blocked shot. The Bulldogs picked up where they left off in the second half with an early goal by Ruben Mancio. Late in the half, NGU would score two goals within a minute of each other. The first goal was scored by Zach Baker on a breakaway. Immediately after, Gareth Greene scored his second goal of the match to make the score 5-3. The score would go on to be the final score.
