Cleveland, Ga.-
After a one week layoff, the North Greenville men’s soccer team was back on the field Thursday taking on the Truett McConnell Bears. The Crusaders struggled in their last two contests and looked to use Thursday match as a momentum builder.

The score remained 0-0 until the 60th minute when North Greenville’s Seth Snyder scored on a cross from Joel Watkins.
The goal would be all the Crusaders needed as goal keepers Nick Williams and Justen Braddock played a solid game coming up with big saves in each half. “We played with great intensity and persistence throughout the game” said head coach Chad Gfeller “The keepers played extremely well but it was definitely a total team effort”. The win puts the Crusaders at 2-2 on the season with 11 matches left on the 2009 slate.

The next match for NGU will be September 16th at 7p.m. in Greenwood South Carolina against Lander University. The next home tilt for the Crusaders is September 23 at 7p.m. against Southern Wesleyan University.
