The North Greenville men's golf team had a strong showing in its first tournament in 2020, placing 5th in the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in St. Augustine, Florida. As a team, NGU opened up with a total of 308 strokes, then closed out day one with a second round total of 298 strokes. In day two, NGU wrapped things up with 306 strokes in the final round to finish with a total of 912 strokes (+48). Evans Lewis topped the leaderboard individually while Austin Duncan also took home a top five finish.
Evans Lewis placed 1st individually in the tournament, finishing 2 strokes below par for a total of 214 strokes. He took a total of 71 strokes in the first two rounds before finishing with 72 strokes in round three.
Austin Duncan finished 4th individually. After an opening round score of 78 strokes, he recovered with 70 strokes in round two and 73 strokes in round three for a total of 221 strokes (+5).
Matthew Campbell tied for 52nd individually with a tournament total of 234 strokes (+18).
Kobie Morton finished his tournament with a total of 253 strokes (+37).
Daniel Planchock had a rough opening round, but bounced back in round two and three for a tournament total of 256 strokes (+40).
NGU will head to Albany, Georgia to take part in the Hurricane Invitational, starting on Monday, February 24th.
