Morganton, N.C. – North Greenville men’s golf finished eighth at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at the Mimosa Hills Country Club.
The Crusaders finished in the middle of the pack after shooting a team total of 882. NGU totaled a 298 in round one but was able to trim off eight strokes the second trip around with a total of 290. The final round on Tuesday resulted in a 294 for NGU.
Austin Duncan led the way with scores of 72, 70, and 71 for a total of 213. Duncan finished eighth overall and was NGU’s only top-10 finish as an individual. Evans Lewis finished secondo n the team and 12th overall for the Crusaders. He carded scores of 70, 75, and 71 and finished three strokes behind Duncan with a 216.
Alex Parker finished 38th while Miller Harbin and Daniel Planchock finished in 58th and 77th. Parker shot scores of 76, 70, and 78 for a 224 while Harbin’s 80, 75, and 75 earned him a total of 230. Planchock carded a pair of 81’s and a 77 for a team total of 239.
The Crusaders will finish up the fall slate of tournament s next week at the Matt Dyas Invitational on October 21st.
