Tigerville, SC - North Greenville improved its overall record to 15-11 with a 3-1 victory over the Koalas of Columbia College. All three of NGU's set wins were won by ten or more points. Carolina Forster led in kills with 12 while Eaden Shockley posted 32 assists.
The Crusaders initially trailed 4-3, but soon followed up with a dominating 11-2 run to lead 14-6. A four point run by Columbia College cut their deficit to four points, but North Greenville spent the remainder of the set opening the lead back up, eventually taking the set with ease 25-15.
After the Crusaders opened up set two with a 4-3 lead, the Koalas fought back with a four point run to take a 7-4 lead. The lead would switch several more times before Columbia College ended the set scoring the final six points to win it 25-21.
Trailing 5-4 to begin set three, North Greenville stormed back with an 8-1 run to lead 12-6. There was little issue for the Crusaders throughout hte remainder of the set, ultimately winning it 25-13.
Set four began with a 9-3 lead by NGU. The Koalas were able to cut the deficit to three, but NGU quickly opened the set back up with a 12-2 run to put it out of reach. North Greenville ultimately took the set 25-14.
Tomorrow, the Crusaders will return to action to face the Mount Olive Trojans in Tigerville.
