North Greenville Beats Limestone in Four Sets

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders pulled through with a 3-1 victory over the Limestone Saints. NGU won the first two sets before Limestone fought back to force a fourth set. Katie McManaway led in kills with 12.

Set 1

Momentum began on the Crusaders' side with seven of the first eight points of the set. The Crusaders continued to build their lead and went on to dominate the set with a score of 25-16.

Set 2

The Saints began the set by scoring the first four points. Limestone would continue to lead until midway through the set, when NGU was able to even up the score 13-13. North Greenville then took the momentum with a 6-2 run, and went on to take the set 25-22.

Set 3

Both teams would trade points throughout the first half of the set, but a 6-0 by NGU made it seem that the match would be over in three sets. However, Limestone had other plans as they would come back to score eight of the final nine points of the set to win it 25-22.

Set 4

The fourth set once again began with both teams trading points early on. Limestone went on a 6-2 run to take a 10-7 lead. NGU would respond with a 6-1 run. The score remained close for the remainder of the set, but the Crusaders were able to score six of the final nine points to come away with a set 25-22 as well as the match.
