The defending Conference Carolinas South Region champions will look for a repeat performance in 2018. Last season's team achieved a program-best conference record of 11-4 (.733), and won a Conference Carolinas Tournament game for the first time since 2012. This year's team will feature 6 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 5 juniors, and 4 seniors.
Katie McManaway finished the 2017 season second on the team in kills with 283 and averaged 2.86 kills per set. She was the only player to participate in all 29 matches.
Courtney Williamson had a productive season with 124 kills and averaged 2.10 kills per set. The conference tournament all-championship team selection also provided the team's highlight of the year with a kick save against Mount Olive.
Sara Miller led the 2017 team in total sets played with 105 as well as service aces with 37.
Johna Robbins recorded 407 digs and averaged 4.07 digs per set as the team's libero in 2017.

The Crusaders will begin the season on the road in three consecutive tournaments. Conference play will begin early on the road against the Converse Valkyries. NGU will then play the first home game of the season on September 12th against the Columbia College Koalas. A home tri-match will follow before the heart of the conference schedule begins. Five of North Greenville's final seven matches of the season will be played at home.
