CRUSADERS CELEBRATE SENIOR NIGHT WITH FIRST 20 WIN SEASON IN PROGRAM HISTORY

Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville volleyball team celebrated senior night in record-breaking fashion, Friday night with a 3-0 win over Pfeiffer. The win earned the Crusaders the first 20 win season in program history.

Before the game, head coach Greg Mosely honored his six seniors, Yomi Adeyeye, Taylor Dupes, Megan Steading, Hannah Lewis, Megan Gouge, and Anna Muzika. The volleyball class of 2015 is the winningest group of seniors in school history, totaling 65 wins in four years.

The Crusaders saw little resistance from the visiting Falcons cruising to a 2-0 lead. NGU took a 25-10 win in the opening frame as Pfeiffer had few answers for NGU's offensive attack. The Crusaders finished with nine kills as a team and hit .316.

North Greenville earned an identical 25-10 win in the second set. The Falcons were within three of the Crusaders until six unanswered points set them back 13-4. Anna Muzkia would put the set away with five service aces with the help of two kills from Kenzie Pierce.

A 13-4 lead in the final set of the night gave the Crusaders a comfortable advantage. Seniors Yomi Adeyeye, Taylor Dupes, added a helping hand with kills in the opening points while Kenzie Pierce also got in on the action with two kills of her own. Megan Gouge would deliver in her senior night finale as well as she registered three kills in the 25-12 win, locking up the match victory.

Mosely's seniors had a solid night led by Taylor Dupes' eight kills. Gouge and Adeyeye had four kills each while Hannah Lewis led all players with 11 digs. Anna Muzika made the most of her Senior Night showing, dishing out six aces from the service line, a career high for her, and a season high for North Greenville. Megan Steading added to her career total with four digs.

The Crusaders are now 20-9 on the season and 9-5 in Conference Carolinas play. North Greenville will host Belmont Abbey and Bluefield State tomorrow afternoon in the final regular season home matches of 2015. NGU and Belmont Abbey will tipoff at 1pm followed by a match with Bluefield at 5pm.
