WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS DECISION TO KING

Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville Women's Volleyball Team dropped its first conference game of the season on Saturday in a 3-1 loss to King University.

The Crusaders earned an opening game victory cruising to a 25-15 win over the Tornado. North Greenville led by seven points in the second frame but King ripped off nine of the next 11 points to even the score at 24-24. The Tornado would go on to take the second set 26-24 to even the set score at 1-1.

The Crusaders would remain close in the third and fourth sets but were unable to close the gap. The Tornado would go on to take the final two sets 25-21 and 25-19, earning their first Conference Carolinas win of the 2015 season.

The Crusaders were led by Kenzie Pierce who finished the day with 16 kills while Yomi Adeyeye had 15. Madison Pogue finished with 42 assists while Hannah Lewis led NGU with 24 digs. North Greenville returns to the floor on September 22nd at Benedict College in Columbia. First serve is scheduled for 6pm.
