FOUR NGU PLAYERS EARN POST SEASON AND ACADEMIC HONORS

High Point, N.C.—Four North Greenville volleyball players have garnered post season accolades after the 2014 regular season concluded, as Yomi Adeyeye and Rachel Burts earned 3rd Team All-Conference nods while Taylor Dupes and Megan Steading earned spots on the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team.

Adeyeye, who was also an All-Academic Team nod, was the leader for North Greenville on the offensive attack. Her 317 kills on the season led NGU by a wide margin as she averaged 3.24 kills per set, ranking her seventh in Conference Carolinas.

Rachel Burts was also a solid option for NGU's offense. The dynamic sophomore led Conference Carolinas in hitting percentage finishing the season hitting at a .334 clip. She finished the season with 196 kills, while also leading the team with 56 total blocks, including 20 solo and 36 assists.

ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN INFORMATION

The three players selected to the Conference Carolinas All-Academic team carry a grade point average over a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester and each student must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year. The team is compromised of juniors and seniors who play in one of the Conference Carolinas' twenty sponsored sports.
