NGU TAKES DOWN KOALAS IN FINAL NON-CON GAME OF 2014
Columbia, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s volleyball team won its second game in a row, following a 3-1 win over Columbia College on Tuesday night, on the road.
The Crusaders earned the non-conference victory over the Koalas, kicking off a busy week. NGU and Columbia split the first two sets of the night, as NGU gained a quick upper hand with a 25-13 win. The Koalas answered NGU and tied the set score at 1-1 in the second frame, as they earned 25-21 win.
North Greenville then settled down in the strange environment, taking the final two sets of the night 25-22, and 25-19. The win over Columbia wraps up North Greenville’s 2014 non-conference schedule for the fall. North Greenville is now 15-8 on the season overall, and will look to improve its conference mark, which sits at 2-5, this weekend.
The Crusaders will next travel to Central, South Carolina to take on future Conference Carolinas member Southern Wesleyan University, a rematch of the September 23rd match in Tigerville. The Crusaders dropped a 3-0 decision to the Warriors in the previous 2014 meeting. First serve between NGU and Southern Wesleyan is scheduled for 7pm on Friday night.
