Crusader Volleyball Season Recap

The North Greenville University Volleyball team concluded a record setting year by finishing 19-16 overall and 9-7 in Conference Carolinas.  The 19 wins ties the all-time mark since becoming a four year university. The previous record was set by the 2010 team (19-17). 


The Crusaders finished second in their division and fourth overall in Conference Carolinas after being picked 10th in the preseason polls.  Their appearance in the conference tournament was the program’s first as they advanced to the semifinals with a first round win over Coker College.

Individually several players earned post season honors and placed their name in the NGU record book:

-Senior Abigail Frame was selected as an Academic All-Conference winner and to the Conference Carolinas’ All-Tournament Team.  She is also holds the record for single game, single season and all-time assists at NGU.

-Junior Rebekah Mayes was named First Team All-Conference; she is currently the single game, single season and all-time leader in kills at NGU.

-Junior Madison Allen was named to the Academic All-Conference team as well.

-Freshman Samantha Del Toro was named Second Team All-Conference being the first freshman at NGU to receive this honor.

The Crusaders graduate only one senior and look to continue program growth in the future.
