CRUSADERS TAKE SECOND PLACE AT MOC VOLLEYBALL INVITATIONAL

Mount Olive, N.C.—The North Greenville Volleyball team wrapped up the Mount Olive College Invitational volleyball tournament today with a second place finish and a 3-1 record. The Crusaders swept a set of games over tournament host Mount Olive College and Fayetteville State.

The Crusaders picked up a straight set win over the Trojans of Mount Olive College with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-16. Kendra Meek led NGU offensively with 12 kills. Abigail Frame once again led a solid offensive attack with 32 assists. The Crusaders were anchored defensively by Kaitlyn Harris who tallied 13 digs. Abigail Frame also solidified her solid performance with a selection to the All Tournament Team.

Frame was joined by team mate Kaitlyn Pierce. The Crusaders solid Saturday performance was capped off with a 3-1 win over Fayetteville State with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-17. North Greenville’s lone set loss of the day came on a 25-21 loss to the Broncos. After a 2-0 Saturday, the Crusaders improved to 6-4 on the season.
