Tigerville, S.C.—Despite beating Johnson C. Smith and Clafflin on Saturday the Lady Crusaders were unable to ride the momentum Tuesday night as they dropped a 3-0 decision to Milligan College in Hayes Gymnasium.
The loss to the Lady Buffaloes marked the first loss for the Crusaders at home in the 2010 season. Milligan put the pressure on NGU early beating the Crusaders 25-20 and game two 25-16.
The Lady Crusaders were poised to win their first set of the night leading 24-23 in the third but the Lady Buffaloes rattled off three straight kills to seal the win.
North Greenville was led once again by Rebekah Mayes who accounted for 16 kills. Kaitlyn Pierce and Anjelica Wilcox both registered nine kills. Wilcox also led the team with 11 digs.
With the loss North Greenville drops to 13-12 on the season and 5-1 at home. The Lady Crusaders will look to add another win to their record-breaking season Wednesday night with a home match against Morris College at 6:30.
