Harrogate, Tn.—The North Greenville Volleyball team returned to the court Wednesday night looking for it’s 12th win of the season but fell short against the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters 3-0.
The Railspliiters (12-3) handily beat the Crusaders in all three matches despite the Lady Crusaders best efforts.
LMU took the first set of the day 25-15. The Lady Crusaders were more competitive in set two of the night but still fell to Lincoln Memorial 25-18. NGU would once again compete in the third set and held the lead most of the match but Lincoln Memorial proved to be too strong for the Crusaders taking set three 25-21.
Individually North Greenville was led by Rebekah Mayes led the team with 11 kills on offense. Mayes, also led the team with 8 digs along with Melissa Ragsdale, and Jenna McKinley.
They Lady Crusaders are now 11-11 on the season and will have another chance to pick up their 12th win of the season again as well as their 13th on Saturday at home in a tri-match with Johnson C. Smith and Clafflin Universities.
