LADY CRUSADERS PICKUP THIRD STRAIGHT VICTORY

Raleigh, N.C.—The North Greenville Volleyball team picked up it’s third straight win Friday night defeating Shaw University 3-1 in a four set match.

The Lady Crusaders took an early one set lead after beating the Bears 25-20 in a match that was a back and forth affair until the final five points scored by NGU. The Cursaders took the second set of the night in a more convincing fashion beating the bears 25-12.

Shaw exacted a small amount of revenge on NGU in the third set taking the match 27-25. The Crusaders would end all hope of a comeback in the third set however taking it 25-17 and securing the victory.

“It’s always good to get a win on the road but we still struggled,” remarked head coach Greg Mosely after his teams third consecutive win.  “I think we kind of went flat after the went up two sets against a very athletic team that mad us work. Hopefully we can pickup two wins tomorrow and be ready for our match in Tigerville on Wednesday.

With the win the Lady Crusaders improve 7-7 on the season with a tri-match tomorrow vs. Chowan and Lincoln Universities.
