CRUSADERS STRUGGLE AT MILLIGAN

Milligan, Tn.-
On Tuesday, the North Greenville volleyball team entered a match with Milligan College looking to add to a 4-6 record. The team has been steadily improving under 3rd year coach Lauren Axson and is quietly having its most successful season in those 3 years.

Tuesdays match looked promising as the Crusaders took the first of the four set match 25-15. Milligan however would go on to take the next 3 sets 25-15, 25-23, and 25-20. Leaders for the Crusaders were Lauren Hawkins who served up 4 aces, Charlotte Swain with 8 kills, Melissa Ragsdale with 24 digs, and Kaitlyn Pierce who had 7 blocks. “Milligan is a good team” said head coach Lauren Axson “Our girls played hard, we will use this as a learning experience and move on to the next match.” The Crusaders’ next match will be in TIgerville on September 10th at 7p.m. against Clearwater Christian in Hayes Gymnasium.
