VOLLEYBALL PLACES FOUR PLAYERS ON ALL-ICAA NATIONAL TEAM

Amanda Bouchillon, a senior from Anderson, SC, was named the Libero of the Year by the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA), and freshman middle hitter Brittany Rivera of Greenville, SC was selected as the Freshman of the Year it was announced Wednesday. 

Bouchillon completed her outstanding career at NGU averaging 4.67 digs per game in the libero position, which is basically a defensive and passing specialist role.  She played every position on the court for the Crusaders and head coach Lauren Axson during her tenure.  Bouchillon was also named to the First Team All-ICAA team.

Rivera started immediately in the middle for the Crusaders and averaged 2.02 kills per game, had 103 blocks and hit .189 for the season.  Brittany, who attended Hampton Park Christian School, was selected top the Second Team All-ICAA squad. 

Others who made All-ICAA included sophomore outside hitter Charlotte Swain (Woodruff, SC, Second Team), and Kaitlyn Pierce (FR, Winston-Salem, NC, Third Team).
