Southern Wesleyan defeats Crusader volleyball

TIGERVILLE, SC--Southern Wesleyan University defeated North Greenville University 3-1 Tuesday evening at Hayes Gymnasium. Games scores were as follows: 13-30, 30-25, 16-30, 23-30. The Crusaders fell to 2- 12, and the Warriors climbed to 8-7 (1-1 SSAC).

Amanda Bouchillon (Anderson, SC—Crescent HS) and Charlotte Swain (Woodruff, SC—Southside Christian) led the offense for NGU recording 14 and 11 kills respectively. Charissa Kee (Travelers Rest, SC—Travelers Rest HS) and Lauren Hawkins (Mauldin, SC—Southside Christian) led defensively with 43 digs between them. Kee recorded 22, while Hawkins had 21. Bouchillon added 5 blocks, while Melissa Regsdale dished out 23 assists.

The Warriors were led by Lauren Dean (Spartanburg, SC—Dorman HS) with 17 kills.

Lauren Dean (Spartanburg, SC—Dorman HS) led SWU with 17 kills. Stephanie Alexander (Easley, SC—Pickens HS) had 5 aces.

NGU will return to back to action September 19, 2007 against Columbia @6:00 in Hayes Gymnasium.
