Benedict gets by Crusader volleyball

TIGERVILLE, SC--North Greenville University's volleyball team is still looking for their first match victory of the season, but the squad is making progress towards that goal. The Crusaders won their first game Wednesday night versus Benedict, but the Tigers took the match 4-1.

"We are slowly learning how to win, and it seems our first win is becoming a higher wall to climb than we first thought," remarked head coach Lauren Axson. "But the Bible says that 'with my God I can scale a wall', and with His help we are steadily climbing."

Amanda Bouchillon led the Crusaders with 11 kills, while Charissa Kee led with 26 digs. Melissa Ragsdale added 18 assists.

The Crusaders (0-8) will be back in action Monday night as they host Allen University at 6:30 p.m.
