Volleyball plays hard, but falls in season finale

TIGERVILLE, SC- An electric crowd filled Hayes Gymnasium as the North Greenville University volleyball team played its final match of the year against Tusculum College. Although the girls played hard, they could not pull off the victory as Tusculum won 3-0. Tusculum took the first game 30-26, followed by wins in the next two games by scores of 30-20 and 30-22.

Playing in her final game as a Crusader, senior Katy Hesler led North Greenville in kills, as she has done all season long, with eleven. Also playing in their final game were Charity Barnwell and Cindy Ray. "I couldn't ask for any more effort out of our seniors," remarked Coach Kasey Whitehead. "They are leaders on and off the floor and kept the team together not only physically, but spiritually to help our team grow closer to the Lord."

North Greenville fell to 11-21 on the season, while Tusculum improved to 8-21.
