Volleyball falls to Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Alexis Rowles recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs to lead the Tusculum College volleyball team to a 3-0 win over visiting North Greenville University Thursday night at Pioneer Arena. The Pioneers (5-15) won the match by scores of 30-21, 30-19, 30-15. TC halts a five-match losing streak and improves to 7-0 all-time against North Greenville.

Jessica Salyers recorded a match-high 23 digls, while Katie Hyatt added 11 assists and four service aces in the victory.

The Crusaders (9-12) were paced by the double-double effort of 15 kills and a dozen digs by Katy Hesler. Maegwen Salley added 15 digs, while Charity Barnwell posted 14 assists and 10 digs in the loss.

Tusculum returns to action on Saturday when it faces Limestone College and Converse College in a tri-match in Gaffney, S.C. NGU will be at Milligan College on Saturday for a quad match.
