Crusader volleyball falls to Mars Hill 3-1

Tigerville, SC- The North Greenville University volleyball team fell to Mars Hill Saturday at Hayes Gymnasium. The Crusaders won the first game 30-22, came up short in the next three. Mars Hill would win those games 30-17, 30-21, and 30-24.

Head coach Kasey Whitehead was pleased with the Crusaders' effort, especially in the first game. Whitehead noted, "Cindy Ray and Amanda Bouchillon both played outstanding defense." Senior Katy Hesler led the Crusaders in kills with 14. In the end, however, Mars Hill proved too much and outlasted the Crusaders in the final three games.

This was the third match between the two teams. Mars Hill won the match at the Anderson College Invitational 3-0 and then followed that with a 3-0 win at Mars Hill. The Crusaders fall to 8-9 on the season. Mars Hill improved to 7-9.
