North Greenville put together a strong performance in the UAB Vulcan Invite in Birmingham, Alabama. The highlight of the day was a first place finish in the 400 Meter Dash.
Collia Rowe started off the new year in style, recording a 1st place finish out of 46 finishers in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 56.84 seconds. Emily Beisecker also competed in the event, placing 17th with a time of 1:01.38.
Emily Barbosa posted a time of 2:33.50 and an 18th place finish in the 800 Meter Run. Margaret Nork, who also competed in the event, scored a 29th place finish with a time of 2:40.77.
Three Crusaders participated in the 1 Mile Run. Grace Valentine was the top finish for NGU, recording a 16th place finish with a time of 5:34.57. Hope Whisman finished in the middle of the field with time of 5:42.17 for 25th place. Shelley Martin was not far behind, placing 29th with a time of 6:02.80.
NGU also had three participants compete in the 3000 Meter Run. Jadyn Slaughter was the first to finish, placing 16th with a time of 11:33.00. Paige Trent followed that up with a 20th place finish and a time of 12:04.99. Wrapping up the event for the Crusaders was Cori Small with a 24th place finish and a time of 12:34.88.
The Crusaders will head to the Gamecock Opener in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday, January 17th.
