Tigerville, S.C. – Shekinah Wilder secured her spot in the NCAA Division II National Championships after her record-breaking leap at the Buccaneer Invitational in early February.
Wilder was selected for her first ever national championship competition after a triple-jump distance of just over 40-feet. Wilder’s distance was the fourth longest jump in Division II at the time and also set a new personal and school record.
Not only will it be Wilder’s first trip, it will also be the first appearance in an NCAA sponsored national championship by a North Greenville female student-athlete.
The championships will be held March 9-10 in Pittsburg, Kansas at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Pittsburg State University and the Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
