Johnson City, TN – North Greenville indoor track and field wrapped up another weekend of competition on Saturday as it wrapped up the 2017 Buccaneer Invitational hosted by East Tennessee.
The Crusaders turned in several personal records this weekend in several different events. The biggest performance came from leaper Shekinah Wilder in the triple jump. Wilder set a new personal best on Saturday as she leapt 11.59-meters in her second jump. A mark that is also a school record.
For the men, JJ Sherman continues to impress as he set a school indoor record in the men’s 200-meter. Sherman crossed the finish line in 22.01, also setting himself a new personal best. He finished second in his section.
-Nayeley Valenciano set a personal record in the women’s 3K race with a time of 12:10.01.
-Sarah Scism finished the day with a personal record in the 60-meter race as she broke the tape in 8.91.
-Lilli Haines set two new personal bests in both the 200 and 400-meter runs. Haines crossed with times of 27.76 in the 200 and 1:03.20 in the 400-meter run.
-Jonathan Keller and Austin Nobles also turned in new personal bests in the men’s 5K with times of 16:06.53 and 17:02.88. Keller also finished in the top 25 as he crossed in 21st out of 48 total runners.
-Nathaniel Bianco and Scotty McCauley set new personal bests in the 400-meter. Bianco crossed in 54.66 while McCauley finished in 53.62.
