Clemson, S.C. - The North Greenville men's and women's track and field teams turned in several impressive performances this weekend at the Bob Pollack Invite, hosted by Clemson University.
The Crusaders laid down several school records in the women's mile run, the men's mile run, the women's long and triple jumps, and the women's 4x4 relay, and the men's distance medley relay.
Two freshmen turned in school records for the Crusaders in the mile runs. Kaleigh Roach continued to impress in her first year at NGU, crossing the finish line in 5:37. On the men's side, Stanley Limoh finished second place against runners from Division I and II with a time of 4:14.
The NGU women's 4x4 team of Leah Austin, Shekinah Wilder, Georgia Delts, and Ambria Shaw set a new school record with a time of 4:07 while the men's distance medley team made up of Ben Session, Trae Bonner, Dominic Powell, and Limoh turned in a first place finish.
Shekinah Wilder also impressed I her decided field events as she set school records with distances of 17'8" in the long jump and 37' in he triple jump.
