Crusader Women Take 4th Place At Conference
Winston-Salem, NC – On Sunday, Feb. 23, the North Greenville women’s track and field team earned 52 total points and a 4th place finish in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track Championship.

In the field, the Crusaders showed their dominance in the pole vault competition as freshman Megan Goodson earned First Team All-Conference after clearing a height of 10’, while fellow freshman Zoe Engwall finished in second place, clearing a height of 10’ for Second Team All-Conference honors.

Junior Raivyn Chancellor finished the field events with a third place finish in the women’s weight throw with a throw of 44’ 3.25”.

The women’s Distance Medley Relay team consisting of Engwall, Ambria Shaw, Amanda Ward and Monae Boyles set a school-record with a time of 13:27 to finish in second place overall. 

Engwall was also a part of a school-record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:27, while Boyles time of 11:27 in the 3000 meter run also set an indoor record for North Greenville.

The Crusaders will now focus on preparing for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on March 14-15 in Winston-Salem, NC.
